I am a Mum with a PINK HEART

I am a mum with a Pink heart…
Being a person who has been blessed with three incredible children it has always been difficult when their diversities have also been seen as targets for bullying.
You see I carried, cradled and continue to  care for my children who are - of diversity and colour.
It is their differences that have give them their unique beauty and approaches, it is the source of their incredible powers, yet it is a target for the weak in our community to prey on.
You see my children, and people like them, are the strong ones, the enjuring ones. The ones who have stood in their skin, their diversity, their abilities, their challenges, their mana …
Through raising them they have elevated my own thoughts and considerations. They have taught me to look at my own prejudice (we all have them) and relearn and release historic concepts and criticisms…
They teach me every day to live in my fierce love in a controlled and connective way.
They are the reason Pink shirt day has to happen.
That awareness is the starting point for change, that being visible and proud is the first line of change and that we must all challenge our inner thoughts by sitting in confronting conversations and learn from the stories of others.
So look up, learn, and be kind today and always…
Happy #pinkshirtday
